3/24/2023 0 Comments Swinsian iphone![]() ![]() ![]() Sorry if i wrote the info in a confusing way, as i'm in a bit of a hurry. Its a pity i couldnt get it to add music just using Swinsian, and i tried the Fuse extension they say to use on their site but i couldnt get it to work. I think the only space the Music app is taking up is the Naming of new Playlists i have in Swinsian, since i had to create the same playlists in the Music App. i also unchecked the option in playback tab that messes with the volume, just to make sure it didnt mess with anything. Voila it redirected me to the Swinsian folder. After making copies of my playlists in Music, I made sure it didnt make add anything to the Music Library by right clicking a song and clicking the show in finder option. so the only copy is in your Swinsian Library folder. i started with a blank library in Music (Itunes) and went to preferences and unchecked the option that allows Music (itunes) to organize your librarys info (songs, album, artists, etc.) and most importantly unchecked the option that makes a copy of your file to the Music (Itunes) folder. What i did was this, I use Swinsian for my music collection but only use Music (itunes) as a way to put my collection to my iphone, Ipad. so many lost playlists and years of work, since i also have a vast collection of music. I found a work around, but sadly had to use the Music App (Itunes), i feel your pain i hate the Music app with a passion. I know there's a way to stream over wifi to the stereo, or i think there is, but I haven't figured it out.) But I've called apple about it and spent far too many hours on the phone with them and they told me to package up and bring my computer in to an apple store and they will send it off to have it looked at.which is just not an option. it only happens when streaming to my stereo not my headphones. (This would be moot if I could just stream from my Mac to my stereo but so far no one has been able to explain to me why since the last update to catalina or whatever this newest OS is called I get these loud digital "scratch" or "pop" sounds when using bluetooth -> to Sony Reciever. Years ago I tried mediamonkey but still used iTunes to move music to my ipod at the time and i realized I literally had overfilled my hard drive with duplicate files of every song i had.and now I have bought a lot more music since then.) So how can I set all options to make sure it doesn't: a) Mess with the metadataī) Duplicate the files (if i see my get a folder that says "itunes music" i don't want it to be exact copies of the already existing file elsewhere. I want to make sure that mac IN NO WAY meddles with the metadata as I've had enough issues with it over the years (thats why i stopped using itunes when it did this last update to apple music). I want to play with the music i have on my iphone or ipad but I use Swinsian for my media player on the mac. ![]()
